RM of Pleasantdale’s story
The Rural Municipality of Pleasantdale No. 398 was incorporated as a rural municipality on December 11, 1911. It lies in central Saskatchewan, and its office is in the town of Naicam, which the RM surrounds along with the village of Pleasantdale.
Several other communities have been part of the area's story. Chagoness, Lac Vert and Silver Park are unincorporated localities within the RM, and Kipabiskau, once a village, was dissolved as one on April 30, 1973.
Today the RM is governed by an elected council and an appointed administrator, who meet on the second Thursday of each month. Visitors can stop at the Naicam Museum or spend time at Lake Charron Regional Park and Kipabiskau Regional Park. The Canadian Pacific Railway and several provincial highways, including Highway 6, serve the area.
